In English
I am an actress and theatre director with experience from Swedish and Brazilian stages, including acting in both countries' National Theatres. I was formed at theatres and universities in these two countries and have a master's degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Stockholm. I am also professionally active as a dramatist and member of the Swedish Union of Playwrights.
During many years the greatest challenge has been to make solo performances, where I write or translate the text and then interpret all the roles.
Out of the experience of teaching Theatre and Drama for the most diverse public groups e.g. university students, young criminals, illiterates, social workers, deaf children, I have developed a method for training actors used at Wik's Peoples College, Mälardalen's College in Sweden and the State University of Santa Cruz in Brazil. I understand theatre as art but also as a universal language and a public space for human meetings. Consequently I have a lively interest for theatre anthropology and stylised theatre and I have participated in international festivals and seminars.
Artistic theatre activities can be seen as ways of investigating the human reality, emotions, behaviour and dreams, besides these investigations intrinsic to the theatrical creative process, I am also developing academic research and participating in university extension activities, for instance the project "Teatro Popular" at UESC.
